Review summary of the HP iPaq 910

The HP iPaq 910 is a serious commerce phone for serious Windows Mobile users who want to have very hardly ever fun. Battery life was superlative, among the best we've seen on a Windows Nimble phone, and the phone also leads the pack in networking capabilities with wonderful-fast HSDPA 3G data networking as well as Wi-Fi. It's a solid actor with a staid, though proven design. Unfortunately, it never leaves the Windows Nimble path, and so it feels like a modern smartphone with blinders on, unconcerned to the desktop-grade Web browsing and advanced multimedia capabilities we're enjoying on other smartphones. While phones from HTC show off their TouchFLO 3D outfits and VGA screens, the HP iPaq 910 is dressed in its most outstanding suit (and it's kind of a wallflower at parties). If you're looking for battery subsistence and stability, this is a good choice, but if you want to do anything more with your phone than what your IT bank on pre-loads, you'll want to find something more entertaining. Release: June 2008. Sacrifice: $440. Pros: Great battery life. Solid Windows Alert features. Comfortable, well-formed keys on a large keyboard. Cons: Nothing unqualifiedly beyond the standard Windows Mobile system. Calls sounded enfold. Phone is a bit large (though it makes use of the extra space). No advanced media or Web browsing features.

Vodafone to Offer Hewlett Packard 3G Smartphones

Europe UK : HP announced an concordat with Vodafone in Europe that will provide customers access to Vodafone�s rich speed network on two new smartphones launched today - the HP iPAQ Medium Messenger and the HP iPAQ Data Messenger.

The new HP iPAQ Voice Messenger and the HP iPAQ Data Page will be available through Vodafone�s business sales channels starting in the UK, with other European countries to be announced.
The HP iPAQ Verbalize Messenger and HP iPAQ Data Messenger are the latest additions to the HP smartphone portfolio. The HP iPAQ Bring up Messenger is a sleek 3G smartphone with an integrated 20-key keypad that allows users to access tough voice, email, Internet browsing and GPS applications.(1,2,3) The HP iPAQ Information Messenger is a sophisticated 3G smartphone with a large touchscreen stretch, full slide-out alphanumeric keyboard and built-in GPS capabilities,(3) providing a new way to be familiar with mobile messaging and navigation from HP.

HP attacks RIM with the iPaq Data Messenger

Hewlett-Packard is preparing to start off the iPaq Data Messenger in hopes of stealing away some profession users away from BlackBerry devices.  With a 2.8-inch gauge and full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the Windows Mobile 6.1 powered iPaq Text Messenger is focused on mobile professionals who want corporate emails and documents on the go.  

The smartphone has built-in WiFi and also supports HSDPA 3G networks with a max download bolt of 7.2 Mbps.  HP has also addressed location-based services by including a built-in GPS chipset and A-GPS underpinning for turn-by-turn navigation.  As we expected, Bluetooth 2.0 and expandable respect via a microSD slot are also bundled in the package.  For imaging, a 3.2 megapixel camera with burn, autofocus, and video recording is included.  The HP iPaq Information Messenger is expected to be released in November, and may be sold unlocked. The entourage did not announce what the price would be.
