Night shoot-out: Palm Centro vs Palm Treo 680
Let’s be veracious: if you wish for a smartphone with a good camera, this is not the right blog to dedicate. Nokia has managed to outpace Palm significantly when cameras are caring: once again - if you wish for high-res cameras, hitting TamsS60 is the only sensible thing to do.
Palm’s concept is different. For them, the camera is all about sharing - it must collar an image that looks well on-screen and is small enough to MMS/email out immediately. As we have had a Centro in our office (courtesy of Palm Germany) and lovely lit buildings in the vicinity (courtesy of Vienna), it was time for a shoot-out!

First of all, it was term for night scenes. The Centro overexposed the images more and also had worse issues with “leaking” on overexposed areas:
Don’t ask me why the unquestionably useless Viennese traffic service sent a practise right when I needed one - as you can see, the Train is barely visible on the Treo, and altogether blurred on the Centro’s. This clearly shows that the Treo has the shorter shutter perpetually:
Finally, it was time for a really dark object static in a non-lit Turkish airways shop. The Treo managed to zealot up its sensitivity and got the image (even though it is insanely noisy) - the Centro...

Palm Sprint Centro in Olive Green: a closer look
Sprint and Palm have brought out a new coloured Palm Centro, well two colours literally, Olive Green and Vibrant Rose, but let’s take a look at this Olive Grassy version. In addition to the colour variants of the Palm Centro there are a few minor enhancements such as a duplicated built in program memory and a few updated apps.
The latest shades also awaken with soft touch finish which gives a better absorb, is smoother to the feel and also has a smudge free exterior so no more dirty smudges. Also there is a new dark grey button bar with trimming reverberant the sides.
The Centro’s keyboard also feels as if it is an upgraded material, but still the same Palm OS Garnet v4.5.9, but there is that enlarge RAM and the enhancements to Google Maps, My Location, and the addition of Palm’s new Facebook patron and Astraware’s Sudoku.
